Rashad Evans calls for Anderson Silva to replace “Rampage” Jackson
Former UFC light heavyweight champion, Rashad Evans has called for middleweight champ, Anderson “The Spider” Silva to replace A-Team movie star, “Rampage” Jackson in a fight that could go down around the turn of the year.
Speaking on this week’s edition of MMA Live, Evans said:
“I think it’s a great idea. As a matter of fact, Joe Silva call me. Put the fight together, I’m ready for it. You know my mom probably gonna say, ‘Rashad, I told you stop calling out Anderson Silva. Rashad ,he made Forrest Griffin run Rashad and that was in Philadelphia. He made Forrest run back to Vegas Rashad.’ Hey mom listen, I can do this, I got this.”
Evans was last seen in action against Silva’s close friend, training partner and UFC light heavyweight champion, Lyoto Machida in May. That night he was knocked out by the Brazilian but that hasn’t deterred him from wanting to step in there against the best in the world.
