Joe Lauzon already confirmed by the UFC to compete on Boston card

UFC lightweight, Joe Lauzon has confirmed that he will be next in action on the promotions first ever card in Boston, Massachusetts, set to go down on August 28th after having talks with the powers that be.

Speaking the Boston Herald, Lauzon said:

“That’s the plan. I talked to the UFC and asked them what they were thinking. They said they definitely wanted me to fight on the Boston card. We talked about it, and we could try to squeeze one (fight) in the middle, but we’re better off to just wait. Rather than trying to rush into two short camps, I’ll give myself one longer camp and get back to business.”

“I don’t know who or what, but they’re telling me they definitely want me on the card and they’re going to find me a fight. I’d say it’s 99 percent. I’ll feel better when I have an actual opponent and I have a contract in hand, but they’re telling me that I’m in, so that’s all I can hope for.”

Lauzon blamed his loss to Sam Stout at UFC 108 on returning to the octagon too quickly after rehabbing an injured ACL for a number of months. Hopefully we’ll see the best of “J-Lau” when he returns in his hometown in August.
