Jose Aldo to take on featherweight champ Mike Brown at WEC 45

Having won all five of his WEC fight by either KO or TKO, 22 year old Brazilian Jose Aldo is slated to fight featherweight champion Mike Brown for the promotion’s title at WEC 45 on November 11th.

The bout was first revealed by InTheGuard.tv, and it was later independently confirmed by MMAWeekly that the bout had been signed. The fight will be Brown’s third straight defence, and only his fifth fight in the WEC.

The fight has all the makings of a “Fight of the Year”. Both men are strong, exciting and love to stand and bang. Brown captured the title when the former champ Urijah Faber went to throw a spinning back elbow and Brown countered the shot to knock Faber down and go on to take the win.
