Dana White speaks about the task ahead of him in breaking Japan

The fight market in Japan is absolutely enormous, a living breathing organism that is worth a fortune. Dana White is targeting Japan for a future move, but says that certain people don’t want the UFC back in Japan.

Speaking in a recent interview, Dana addresses the issue of the UFC returning to Japan.

“There's a huge fight market in Japan. There are fans over there who want this, but there's some shady [expletive] people over there that keep it from happening. They know who they are, and they don't want the UFC to come to Japan, and that's a fact.”

“They're going to have to kill me. That's where they're going to have to do. We're coming there no matter what. We're coming there. We're going to break through this thing. We're going to get past these dirty, sneaky, bad guys in Japan, and we're going to make it happen. If I don't get killed over in Japan, I'll be [expletive] amazed when I go ever there. I'll be amazed.”

The UFC has recently broke into new market after new market, Australia, China and most recently Mexico. Dana White has said many times that Canada is now the biggest market the UFC has, but this could pale in significance to what Japan could bring.
