Jon Jones: “I think it was the most punches I’ve taken in a single fight”
During his short time in the UFC, rising light-heavyweight talent Jon Jones has become known for incredible throws and an always exciting stand up game. But Jones feels that despite the win in his last fight against Jake O’Brien, he showed certain weaknesses.
Speaking to MMAWeekly, Jones discusses his UFC 100 fight, and how it didn’t exactly go to plan.
“I think it was the most punches I’ve taken in a single fight. It was more about the boxing, realizing that I have slight bad habits that I’m definitely going to fix.”
“I’d be a fool to come back with the same weaknesses. So I’m really going to work to improve.”
It is not yet known what is next for Jon Jones, but with an impressive stoppage over a former heavyweight contender, Jones’ stock will rise a hell of a lot, don’t be surprised to see his next fight break him into the top ten.
