Nogueira: “Mir didn’t have a proper game plan specific for Brock”

Former UFC interim heavyweight champ Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira will have been watching the fight between Brock Lesnar and Frank Mir very carefully, being that the winner of Nogueira’s fight with Randy Couture was to get a shot at the winner of the Mir/Lesnar fight. So what does “Nog” think of the fight?

“Mir owns the technique to overcome the brutal power of Lesnar but he had to tolerate the punches and he didn’t have a proper gameplan specific for Brock. Mir couldn’t handle that flurry of hard blows so early while his adversary was still full of gas and force.”

The stage is now set for another mini four man heavyweight tournament, with the winner of the Couture/Nogueira fight now set to face Brock Lesnar for the heavyweight title.
